Introduction to musical instruments - pitched and non-pitched percussion: how to hold and play

Nursery Music - a ‘hands on’ session with a host of ideas to use

11.00 a.m. Coffee break

11.30 a.m. Infant music (4-7 year olds):

Singing - developing pitch/use of Kodaly      

Percussion - games and rhythm work          

Recorder playing - through listening

12.30 p.m. Lunch - Display of resources/instruments to view or purchase

1.30 p.m. Music through stories and poetry

2.00 p.m. Making simple but unusualy instruments - a practical craft session

3.00 p.m. Questions/ Summary - Course ends
